GANNI AW 16

Ganni really knows how to throw a show – this time the location was inside of nightclub, where they turned the dance floor into a runway. The collection was called Damon & The Queen and was strongly 90’s inspired with bomber jackets, tracksuits, slip dresses and platform shoes. Prints and materials as velvet, patent leather and shinny satin was styled together, which in generel created a more interesting take on the 90’s fever. I was backstage before the show, which always is fun as you feel the excitement and nerves from the hardworking stylist Emilie Johansson and designer Ditte Reffstrup.

The scene was set when Dorothee Schumacher showed her Fall/Winter 2016 collection yesterday in Berlin. The collection had the perfect authentic 70s feeling combining tradition with a predilection for liberty prints in a graphic symbiosis. The collection is called Limitless Identity and you for sure get the feeling that there are no limits to where this collection will take you, from fluid flowing dresses, skater gear details and elegant monochrome jumpsuits. My favorite was the cool overall look in light beige.

At the cocktail Tuesday night, I was wearing one of my favorite looks from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection and for the show a pair of wide legged pants together with a red knit with the back detail.

MARC CAIN FALL/WINTER 2016

I arrived in Berlin late Monday night at my favorite hotel in town, which is Soho House. Tuesday morning, I started the day in the Velvet Lounge with Marc Cain. I picked out an outfit from their new collection. Having in mind that it is freezing cold, I went for a layered comfy look – a pair of knitted pants together with a striped shirt and a woolen top over, was an elegant and minimalistic combination.

The show had a colorful vintage feeling with a geeky contrast to the very feminine silhouette. My favorite look was the feminine suit in hues from bright red to warm burgundy. The night ended with a trip to the China Club flashing my bow mules and the paper-goodie-bag.

ACNE STUDIOS PRE FALL 2016

I really like how the new Pre-Fall collection from Acne Studios plays with colors and textures in an elegant and soft way with a contrasted twist. The slip-dress in velvet and sateen with the turtleneck underneath in a burned color palette paired with the patch detailed pointed boots is one of my favorite looks. The pieces in beige and the look in various shades of checked plaid materials styled with a sharp-edge haircut make the collection dynamic and powerful. Good job Acne Studios!
