While I was in London my dear friend, Alexandra Carl, took me to a perfumery called Le Labo. She has been wearing a perfume for years that I keep commenting and it was of course from this place. It is a tiny little place located in Shoreditch, who creates their fragrances in the back room - yes I’m not kidding! I love this idea of making it more personal, intimate and of course luxurious by doing it the handcrafted way. Each of the perfumes is built around a main ingredient –  Bergamot, Rose, Orange blossom, Patchouli, Iris, Ambrette, Jasmine, Labdanum, Ylang Ylang or  Lily.

I didn’t find it difficult to choose one – Santal 33 – this might be one of the best perfumes I’ve ever tried and surely also an investment, but you won’t find many girls along your way who wears one from Le Labo – they even customise the label on the bottle with your initials or a personal quote. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood, just to see how it’s done the oldschool way.

I’m getting New York cravings when looking back on this picture with the amazing weather we had while I was there! That day I was wearing an amazing leather woven top from 2NDDAY SS16 collection – the craftsmanship in this top makes it almost more stunning live.  The color combinations worked perfectly with my old denim skirt and a pair of slingback’s.

Before the “fashion week marathon” I spend a relaxing weekend in Gilleleje, which is old authentic fishing village located north of Copenhagen. I stayed at this cosy hotel called Gilleleje Badehotel that has an amazing view looking over the sea. I arrived just in time for afternoon tea & cake by a cute fireplace in the so called “livingroom”. I unfortunately didn’t have time to visit the spa-area (which I’ve heard should be good) but spend my time relaxing with a good book and taking long walks long the beach. The area is very popular and busy during summer, so if you need to calm down and get grounded, then do like me and go for a stay “out if season”. I did some research before getting there and I found an fantastisk restaurant called Sletten, which is 15 minutes in a car from the hotel. They are famous for their “small” dishes with a selection of 20! I can highly recommend the sautéed Chanterelles served on toasted bread and a turbot with artichokes! Perfect spot for a weekend getaway in Denmark.

One of my favourite pieces from Acne Studios AW15 collection is this amazing belted wrap-leather skirt. The canvas pocket and belt straps in the front creates the perfect contrast to the feminine shape, which in my opinion also makes it more modern and wearable! I styled it with a simple zipper blouse,  classic slingback’s and clutch in the same shades, which makes skirt stand out even more.

It is all about the town and country look, when it comes to this fall’s slouchy check suit – or hounds-tooth in its original. The country heroine Katharine Hepburn made the wide-legged pants her signature and today Caroline de Maigret is doing the same. I would go for a hounds-tooth jacket paired with my favorite blue denims, a turtleneck and a small chain-bag.
